Auto nav bar customising

Is there a simple way to add to the auto nav bar:

1) The website logo (next to the website name)

2) A search box (replacing the existing search link)

Okay, I've now solved the first problem.

Does anyone know how to add a search box to the header auto-nav template to replace the search link?

Just take that form code and paste it into your autonav custom template.
