Auto-nav help needed

Hello! I'm new here. I'm trying to figure this whole thing out but I seem to be making a mess. This is my website:http://www.sansfromage.com . I'm trying to make the auto-nav behave in the following way:

I want 5 links (I'd do more but I'm on a Macbook Air and more than that and it just gets cut off the page at the bottom since this theme doesn't scroll well). When you click on one link, I want the page you land on to show the page you're on, and any subpages stemming from it. No other links (like I said, I would, but.... unless you have a fix for this scrolling issue). I can't seem to figure it out, and in the process I think I've deleted the auto-nav twice. Luckily, I copied the nav to a clipboard, and opened another block to paste it in. So it's there... but when I click "edit' now, there are two tiny little rectangles above it that I absolutely can't click on to edit or delete. And when i want to edit the block with the navigation on some pages, the preview is nothing like it should be - it's just links in a row.

I tried putting the navigation on the right, as you can see, but that's not really working for me either. Any advice?

Thanks!

The navigation issue you are having is really no issue at all. If you read this How-To I think you will quickly find how to set up the autonav correctly: http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/how-tos/editors/primer-auto-...

How do I delete the tiny un-grab-able red-dot outlined rectangles that I created when I screwed up my auto-nav? Or get back to the original auto-nav? I tried looking at previous versions of my site, but they were all screwed up... I'm still pretty confused on how to set it up but once I fix that thing I'll just keep playing with it...

those 'dots' might be pages without names... check your sitemap and see if you can find them

Well, what they are are auto-nav fields that somehow I messed up so that nothing appears in them. lol. I've been playing around and I think I managed to get rid of them by ... well I don't know. Somehow I made the content come back, so I had double navigation, so I deleted one. It's getting there. :-)
