Blank page opens when trying to edit content blocks.

I've never had problems editing my site before, but editing content blocks has suddenly stopped working. I can edit any other type of block, but when clicking edit on a content block a blank page loads. Sometimes the loaded page contains the text which was contained within the block, but not always.
I have exactly the same issue now that I've moved the site to the live server - details below. All other blocks work except the content block, which always shows an empty window. Obviously this is a problem as the site is handed over to the client.
Fixed.
Tested with Firebug and found truncated JS which proved to be from files not fully uploaded to the server. Replaced the files and all is working.
