Block Permissions Changes ignored - set to none
Permalink
I am logged in as Admin. C5 latest version (5.6.0.2)
I have set up the profile page to allow user to log on and be able to view only certain documents depending on their group.
I have added a few blocks, each one links to a different file to download.
Every time I set the permissions (view permission), go through the convoluted "add group", set time stuff and finally save them, the field is bBLANK beside view block.
Major bug = Major annoyance = Useless document control.
Until this is fixed I will have to re-think how to do this.
Any ides what is going on, the documentation is somewhat vague (and actually outdated)

can you provide some screen shots?
what do the page permissions look like? anything that might be conflicting with the permissions you are trying to set at the block level ??
Ok.
Red face moment.....
When setting the permission, I was setting the from / to time setting exactly the same. This is a little counterintuitive to say the least.
SO BASICALLY VOIDING THE SELECTION.
Two hours and I just realised this. Perhaps if C5 automatically set a time difference between the two of 10 days or something.
Embarrassed yes, annoyed very.
(Pretty amazing response time there my friend, thanks for that)

No problem!! Glad you got it figured out anyway. Believe me, I've had a hundred "redface" moments as well. Plenty more in the future :D
