Blocks won't move freely
Permalink
I am new to concrete 5 and have been trying to make my website with the Spacelab theme. I am becoming frustrated with the fact you cannot move the blocks freely. To be more specific, the only places you can move the blocks are those specified by the theme. I would like to be able t move, say a logo, in any spot I would like in the header. Is there any way to fix this?
Sadly, no. That's the essence of the C5's block idea which is brilliant for no technical knowledge users but has location restraints. Though there's always ways to achieve what you want, so maybe some more details, a screenshot and I can help.
The reason this stuff is 'constrained' is to prevent end users from destroying the look of their website. You don't really want clients to have this kind of power.
In edit mode, you can click on the logo and choose 'Design'. In the 'Spacing' tab you can put padding or margins on the area to shove the logo around a bit. Other than that, modifying the theme is the only way to go.
