Blog for V5.6

Two short questions relating to basic blog included in C5:

1. Having trouble getting blog to archive per month - July & Aug both have ALL July and August's posts within each (I started in July). Any suggestions?

2. Am I wasting my time trying to create more than one blog within site? Discussion of this seemed very vague within community.

thanks

Robert

I'm unawares of how to do this in 5.6, but if you end up upgrading to 5.7, there is a great tutorial on setting up a blog:

A lot depends on what you are using to create the blog. There is the built in blog and there are several addon packages.

Assuming the built in blog...

1. I expect you have either:
a) not got the page publication dates set for the relevant months
b) need to check configuration of the date-nav block

2. Depends on how you have it organised for adding pages. If you add the pages manually, there is no problem. If you are using composer, you may need to have an extra (but pretty much identical) page type for each.

The easy way would be to use the C5DK blog package which is designed to manage multiple blogs and is actively supported.
