Blog modification from attributes

Hi gents,
My website is almost done, except for the blog.
http://documentation.concrete5.org/tutorials/setup-a-simple-blog-wi...
I used this guide as a reference, but I didn't use it. I used the free blog addon that says it basicly follows the guide but all is done for me. great!
When I go to a blog entry I can see the date and title and author are automatically put in place. However I don't see how to change the layout of this automated arraging of the blog entry. I can go the the page type and click on output. There I can delete some of the unwanted blocks. But how do I change the location of lets say the author? How do I create a location where the output of the form I get when I create a new blogentry goes?
Does anybody has a clue what I am trying to do? My question may be very vague...

the hw simple blog will set you up just like concrete5 elemental full install. You can change the layout of your page in the page types > output defaults. once you add an new area to the page type you have to tell the area to propagate to any existing pages with "Apply to Child Pages". Any new pages you create with that type will have the area as youve changed it.
What add-on exactly did you use?
What specifically are you trying to add/move/delete from the page?
Generically you should be able to control all the blocks on the page by dragging and dropping them as well as add new pieces with the Page Attribute Display block. But without knowing specifically what you're trying to do or the package you installed it's hard to give you exact instructions.
