Browser differences??
Permalink 1 user found helpful
Can anyone provide some help please?
Using Chrome this pagehttp://www.ekimeibor.com/conc/museum-of-science-and-industry/...
It should look as my first attachment, hopefully.
When I look at Chrome from home, it does not include the main picture. It looks like attachment 2.
Here at work it's fine.
So questions:
1. So is it due to browser difference, size of picture?
2. Is there an add on or a process where you can check and make sure your site works on Firefox, IE, iphone, etc. or is it trial and error?
Hope my questions make sense. Thanks so much!!

I just checked it on chrome and it seemed totally normal, all pictures were there.
I really don't think a disappearing picture would come from a difference in browser or size.
However, in your case, the gallery you are using totally depends on Javascript and if javascript is disabled you will not see anything.
In Chrome, you click on the little wrench in the top right corner and you choose "Settings". At the bottom of the window that appears you click on "Show advanced settings". Under the label "Privacy" you click the button "Content Settings". In the new window you make sure that Javascript is set to "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)". If it's disabled, it explains why you can't see the picture. If it's enabled and you still can't see anything then I don't know what the problem is.
To test in firefox or internet explorer, the best is just to install them.
For IE, if you need to test on different versions (ie6, ie7, ie8...( I suggest you download and install a software called IEtester
For Iphone and Ipad, it is really better to try it on a real one but you can also try an emulator such as "Electric Mobile Simulator Lite"
You also have a website that allows you to give the address to your website and it will take pictures of how it looks in different browsers. Sorry I can't remember which website but it should be fairly easy to google.
