Bulk Change Page Type

Here's the situation: Client has a large number of pages that are already created. Many of them have the wrong page type. Is there a way to make a change to page type at a parent level and tell C5 to push that change to all child pages or do I need to go page by page and change the page type?
Presumably I can do this in the database as well, but would prefer to use the dashboard to avoid making mistakes!

Actually you must do that page by page or in database.
