bypass mime check

Hey i try to upload a non standard file type and i get this message:

Unknown mime-type: application/xxxxx Could not determine the name of the file at xxxxx

(xxx = secret stuff)

how can i bypass this??

you added the extension type for this file in your file manager settings in dashboard?

is it perhaps a server setting? that sounds like a error that apache is giving before concrete5 even gets involved.

maybe but i doubt it my host doesn't have restrictions really

Try downloading the file and uploading it manually. Do you get any errors then?

i am currently on a computer that has net nanny... (parental control software) that does not allow me to go to the site but i have the direct path to the file so i hoped that it would allow me to put it in my ftp then download :P its a .torrent file
