C5 bar - icons drop off

Hi,
I've been having this problem for a while since updating to 5.5.1 on templates that I have made plus ones that I have purchased. I say this because I have spoken with the C5 staff whom told me to post on the forum but said it sounded like a problem with the theme.
Basically when I go into edit mode on any page the dashboard, search and sign-out buttons drop off the bottom of the bar (please see attached screenshot). When I come out of edit mode the bar is perfectly fine.
If anyone could help me solve this irritating problem I'd be really grateful!
