c5.8 not rendering my newly added page.
I am trying to add an editable page, /application by selecting the home page in sitemap and then selecting "add page" in that menu. I give the page name of "Application" and the URL slug becomes "application". When I select this new page with the header's nav link, I get a completely blank page without an edit bar at the top. The nav link is correctly using the pretty URL slug, "/application". When I manually select "mysite.com/Application, I get this new page that is totally editable. In other words, c5.8 is trying to serve up the page with the page name instead of the canonical name.
Hi Thomas,
You have often raised concern about not getting much help on the forum. Did you try to register to the Slack channels? It is pretty alive these days and people get answers to problems fast.
You can register here:https://www.concrete5.org/slack...

I am signed up for that but it's new to me. Is this something like Discord? I am not a fan of Discord. Is this why presence on the forums is dwindling?
Slack is very like Discord. I'm not a fan of chat apps in general but, unfortunately, now that Portland Labs people don't participate here any more, Slack is the best place to get authoritative support.
Do you want to mess up your brain? Do what I did. Name a page with the same canonical name as one of concrete5's top level directories. Concrete5's /application directory was taking precedence over the page canonical name. A fellow c5er on IRC chat pointed out this not so obvious mistake to me. We need more like him (I need more like him) Hanging out in the forums and the IRC channel. He took a guess and hit it right on. I wish I got his answer on the forum. I would have been pleased to give him the credit for a right answer.
