I think the weird url might have something to do with it. something's buggy with: index.php/index.php/

can you try removing a index.php/ from the address bar, refreshing the page, and seeing if it still does it? at what point does this weirdness get added to the url? is it whenever you click a link in the top menu? if that's the superfish menu, that may be the culprit. Some other people have mentioned some issues with the urls on that. In the meantime, you can try turning on pretty urls, to see if the problem goes away.

The error occurs right after I click add when adding the component on the blank page

I did try to remove the double index.php last night with no luck. Funny thing is this morning the funny URL thing is gone?

Here are screen shots of each step I take from the vieing the blank page to getting the error. I did this this morning, notice the url thing is gone. Attached are images of each step

1. Open page where I want to add the calendar

2. Click Edit on page

3. Click add to main and then Scroll down to bottom of component list

4. Click on Calendar option and Select "This Page" and click add

5. Page begins to load and calendar shows up but then throws the error

6. the the page cannot be displayed error

now everytime I try to edit this page I get the the screens of step 5 and 6

I will try the pretty url thing.
