Can't Edit some pages!!

Here's the problem:
I was working on the default components of every page type so as to save time and now I find that new 'right hand column pages' that I create cannot be edited!
What do I do to fix this? Thanks all!
UPDATE: I can't even edit the page type anymore!!! PANIC MODE!!!
