Can I add a Sidebar (group of blocks) to Existing Webpages?

I have several blocks that I'd like to add to a sidebar on all existing pages of a website. I watched the video, but I seem to be missing the last step <http://www.concrete5.org/documentation/general-topics/scrapbooks/>.

Does this still work in the current version of C5? Or, is there a work-around?

I just tried it out in my sandbox account successfully with 5.4.1.1 with no problem.
Once you've already saved the blocks from your scrapbook to your page type... you then enter edit mode (still on page type from the dashboard) and when you click on the block to edit you will choose the "setup on child pages" option (last on the list) select all pages if need be. Exit edit & publish changes. All done!

Now I'd like to move the blocks in my sidebar around, and update all the pages of the site. Is there some trick to getting this to work?
