Can not save Rich Text Editor settings

I am not happy this the width of the Rich Text Editor.
So I got to the 'Dashboard'>>'basic'>>'Rich-Text-Editor'.
I changed the 'Tool-bar-set' from 'Simple' to 'Office',
and 'Editor-dimension'>>width from 560px to 1000px.
Saved my new changes, system gave me 'success' message.
I went all the way back to the 'page-edit-mode', click to edit a 'content-box'. Now I see many more buttons in the 'Rich-Text-Editor' pop-up window, but size of the pop-up windows is the same as it was before.
Am I missing something?

I am having the similar issue - not able to save Rich Text Editor settings. I am not getting 'success' message when clicking the "Save" button; the button is unresponsive. I accidentally changed the code in the Custom window of the Rich Text Editor. Ever since, I've been unable to switch to any of the other editor options (Simple, Advanced, Office). I'm able to select the other options but when I hit Save, nothing happens. I've tried clearing cache and going back to older versions. Nothing is working and I can't continue building the site without a functional editor. Please Help!!!
Go to the Dashboard>>System-&-Settings>>Clear-cache.
After clearing the cache new settings becomes active.
