Can users access their previous orders? How?

I'm trying to figure out a way to allow people who come to my website and purchase something to be able to see their previous orders, as well as possibly track their shipments, etc...the kind of thing you would expect a website that ships products to be able to supply its customers.
I have no clue how to go about doing this. Any help would be appreciated.
