Can't edit

I can get to the login page, that works great! Then I enter my info and press login and it just takes me to the front page of the site, no options no nothing... did I do something wrong?

Are you running your own theme or are you using one that is downloaded?

Also, which internet browser are you using?

Same problem--Please help - I get to the login page and then redirected to main page with the "sign in to edit" still showing in footer and no dashboard or edit buttons. I need to edit my church's website, does anyone have ANY ideas?

BTW, I know nothing about HTML, coding or any of that, so please speak in "editing for Dummies" - thanks!
