Can't find the "replace_link_with_first_in_nav" option!?

Hi,

I am using the "Plain Yogurt" template for my website, and I want to make an external link for a Wordpress blog the primary link on the Autonav at the top of my website. When I go to the Sitemap on the dashboard, I create an external link that appears under the page I've created on the Sitemap, but when I examine the properties, I don't have an option to "replace_link_with_first_in_nav" like the documentation explains. Am I looking in the wrong place? It's frustrating the crap out of me, because I know what I want to do and how to do it, but the option the documentation says should be there, isn't!

Any help would be very greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

not sure if it's there by default, but I think there are a couple of properties you have to create manually before you can use them.

Just make sure the handle is spelled correctly and assign it to your pages.. An attribute doesn't have to exist, that doesn't cause any errors, just confusion ;-)

Thanks Remo, I figured there was a way to do it manually. I'm not much of a "computer guy," though, so could you be a little more specific about how to assign a handle to the page? Thanks!

you have to create a page attribute first, this is where you have to make sure the handle matches the keyword from the documentation.

As soon as you've created the attribute, you can hit "properties" on any page, select "custom attributes" and select/modify the attribute

I appreciate your response, but I think that creating an attribute is above my skill level. I don't know any programming at all. Is there a quick way to get the "replace_link_with_first_in_nav" attribute the documentation mentions? Once I have it, where do I put it in my files so that it appears on the dropdown menu of custom attributes on the sitemap?

you don't have to do any programming!
Go to the page attributes, add a new entry, go to the sitemap, click properties on the page you want and set a value for the attribute!

No programming skills or any fancy stuff needed!

YOU, SIR, ARE ONE HELPFUL INDIVIDUAL! Holy crap I thought I was going to throw my computer into the wall last night, but when you spell it out for me like that, it makes me feel like a complete moron for not figuring it out on my own. But no bother, it's now totally working. Thanks!!!!
