Cannot Enter Edit Mode on Home Page

Permalink 3 users found helpful
hi all, i want to edit the home page but the edit mode does not appear. it does appear on any other page of the site so the problem seems to be on the home page.
i found other topics about this problem on the forum and tried the suggestion to go back in versions of the page.
Now the situation is worse... i have a very old version of the page up, and still the edit mode is not working.
Please can anyone help me?

There is a java script issue, that;s no edit button.

Please check in browser console.

go to the sitemap in the dashboard. select the page and choose versions. roll the page back one version. delete the offending page.

i was not the one who build the website and the error was already there when i took over. I tried going back to a page version before the error occurred but found myself on a very old version of the page and still with the error….

Login to site and Right click on home page, click on inspect element , now click on console tab.

Again reload the page, you will see the javascript issue if any there.

you can remove javascript issue only by editing files.
