Cannot forward emails to gmail

Created a new website with a form to submit questions by email. I want the form to forward the email to my gmail account. I think I have the smtp settings correctly configured in concrete5, but when I try sending a test message, it does not work. Instead, I get the following error message: "connection timed out."

Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the settings are wrong, or not using correct encryption.
Where did you get the SMTP settings?
