Cannot login

Could someone please tell me why I cannot login to edit a site.
Did several new installs on a blank database and everytime I enter user/password, I stay on this page:
...com/index.php/login/do_login/
Not in IE or Firefox
changed my password, still the same.
Would appreciate some input folks.
