cannot update to 8.4.5
Permalink 1 user found helpfulI click the update button from the dashboard when attempting to update. I host with Bluehost and asked them what the issue may be. They said that on their end, they only have version installed for my account. There was an update to 8.4.0 options with a warning that it would erase my site first. I worked with them and they said they would back up my site, but it shouldn't erase anything. Well, it did. Thankfully we were able to eventually restore it, but I was told they wouldn't be able to update me to 8.4 through them w/o losing everything, but suggested I tried updating to 8.4.1 through the Concrete5 dashboard. I told them this is what i tried first before contacting them. They said sorry.
So community, I ask you: how do I get this to update?
Thanks,
Jason

I think the part marked Manual Dashboard Update is what I'm going to need to do. I'm stuck at direction number 4: Move the concrete5.x.x.x folder into your updates/ directory. That makes sense, but HOW do I move it to to this update directory? I can't find a way to upload a file to a specific location, or drag and drop. I'm sure its simple, I'm just missing it.
thanks.
thank you.
Thank you btw for your help. It is appreciated.
I use other isp's too but like bluehost, been using for years also. Now with the free zerossl cert manager in cpanel working with my C5 can't go wrong. (Sorry for the plug)
-Thank you to everyone. I really appreciate it. I'm all updated
