Can't edit comments in guestbook

Hi, I want to edit some of the comments left in my site's guestbook, but I seem to have lost this option, since when I click on "edit" after the comment, the page reloads but nothing happens.
I'd like to know if someone else is having this issue, and if so, could the addon "advanced comments" solve it?

unable to edit comments - guestbook comment entry shows hyperlinks to "Edit, Remove and approve"
Clicking on Edit - refreshes page but nothing happesn no edit box or anything.
Any help, direction would be much appreciated.
