Can't save changes to Page Types

Hey all,
When I go to the Page Types page and try and edit "Composer" settings for Blog Entry I get this barebones page which doesn't let me save any changes:

Anyone encountered a problem like this? I've also seen this sort of reduced page in a couple other places. Might be because I deleted the old Blog/About/Search pages that came default with C5?

Ultimately I'd like to be able to choose where to send Blog posts (I wanted to make a new Blog page from scratch). But since I can't save the Page Type editor I can't change the option to allow me to post new pages anywhere, and so it's stuck trying to publish blog posts to nowhere.
I'm having similar issues with the File Manager page being blank/dead and being unable to upload any images.
Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue in 5.6.1.
