[SOLVED] Change page owner
Permalink 1 user found helpful
I'm using the latest 5.5.2.1 version of Concrete. I created some pages as a user on my concrete site and want to move the ownership of those pages to another user on the site. I have Admin rights, but when I go to the page to change ownership, there's no way to actually make the change.
I go to Page properties, then in the standard properties tab in the Owner box, I click select user. The list of users is shown. I can click on the rows for each user but nothing happens. When I click the checkbox next to user names, the **with selected box only gives the option to edit properties, which only edits properties of the user. There's also a button on the page that lists the users that lets you add a new user. Those are my only options.
I've tried this with Opera, Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. No difference.
It looks to me like someone forgot to turn on something with the release.
I'd appreciate any help with this
Thanks
Jason

Good idea, but still no change when I tried it. I made an edit as the user I wanted to have ownership of the page and it still shows as just the owner that created the page.
The page I'm trying to change is not a blog page, but there are blog pages that I want to change as well. Those pages show as posted by who ever it is that's logged in at the time. Doesn't seem right either

in the user selector, just click on the user and the user selector dialog will close and change the page owner.
Just tested this on a 5.5.2.1 install and it all works.

Ah thank you very much. I didn't click on the actual name, just the area in the row that changed color as I moused over. My bad
Thanks again

Some consistency in how this works would be nice. There are three different ways to select items from a list:
1) Click in the area around it and select "Choose" from the menu. (Works in the File Manager, but not the following two.)
2) Click the checkbox and select "Choose" from the menu. (Works when adding a user to the permissions list, but not in the OP's situation.)
3) Click on the username. (Works in the OP's situation, but not in the two above.)
Is there any wonder that there is some confusion here?

I think once the other user makes a change and publishes it, it will show their username as the page owner.
You may want to try logging in as another user, make a change and publish to see the results.
