Change order of images in the Flash gallery?

How do I change the order of images in the flash gallery?

The images appear in the order in which the file manager places them. But the file manager doesn't seem to care to even sort the files alpha-numerically: uploaded files appear in apparent random order.

if you pick the images individually you get little up and down arrows.

if you point it to a set, there's currently no way..

one day we should add ordering to sets in c5. that'd be a nice thing to post to feature requests so we dont forget

I'm a professional photographer who uses C5. I have a lot of galleries using Flash Gallery on my site, and have this exact problem. I would love to have a mechanism to reorganize images easily, especially for galleries that contain many images. Right now, if I specify images individually and add some images later, those are always added at the end, when I want to move those latest images at the front or in the middle, I have to spend many minutes of tedious work to wear out my mouse buttons. I would highly appreciate if there could be a drag-and-drop reordering interface.

IMO; that should be a top priority! :)

This feature was added to C5 a while ago (note that this thread is over a year and a half old).

To get to it, go to Dashboard -> File Manager -> Sets, click on the set in question, and you should see icons of every file in the set, which you can drag around to change the order of.

Is that feature coming with 5.4.0?

I guess this feature didn't come with 5.4. I'm really hoping to see this in the next version!!!
