Changed Name of Form & Previous Form Data Lost

I recently changed the name of a form that had been previously created on my site. There were 21 records (sales inquiries) that had been housed in the database and visable from the dashboard. As soon as I changed the name, the data disappeared. What Happened? Is there a place I can go to retrieve the data?
