Changing blog display on basic template

Hello,

I'm wondering if it is possible to change the way the blog displays on the basic concrete 5 template from something like this:

To something more like this:
http://www.wpexplorer.com/wp-content/uploads/blogger-free-blog-word...

Basically, instead of blog pages being displayed a small thumbnail on the left side with text on the right, they would display as a large picture on the top with the text sitting underneath.

I can get them to display like this using the page list block if I limit one block to displaying the thumbnail only and another block for the description However, there doesn't seem to be a way to list more than one blog post at a time like this. The only way I could think of for that to work would be if you could choose to display latest to earliest choosing categories such as second earliest, third earliest, etc.

I don't have much coding experience so I'm hoping there is a way to use the block as is to reorganise it to display like I want. If that's not possible, any recommendations on premium templates that would be able to display blog posts with the big picture/big text like the picture above?

Thanks everyone!

Hi blue1295,

The blog pages are displayed using the Page List block. You can customize the way the Page List block displays pages, both the style and structure, using a custom block template. Creating a custom block template involves writing HTML, CSS, and sometimes PHP.

I recommend browsing the marketplace theme section to see which theme offers what you are looking for.

That's good to know. I might try to find a template that does what I want. Thanks!
