Changing colors

The color changing mechanism does not always work.
I don't think it is because of my theme. I think it is a deeper issue. This has been going on for days. I have cleared the cache repeatedly, deleted browsing history repeatedly, emptied my computer of unwanted files, and other types of computer maintenance.
But the color changer still does not always work. It especially does not work when wanting to change the color of a heading.
It is frustrating. My main browser that I use is Chrome, the theme is Axis, and the website is HowToBeGifted.com.
Can anyone please help?

Yes, I agree with you; that color scheme would have been better with a white background. I getting better all the time with choosing appropriate colors.
But the color changer does not always work.
I will choose a color, and the color changer won't catch or accept my color choice. It ignores me, and keeps the color at default gray. Sometimes, inside the color changer, the color will correctly change. However at the website, the color is still default gray. This happens especially when I try to change the color of headings. The large gray-colored headings don't match the other colors of the website.
I can change the font for the entire website in a few seconds. But it takes DAYS of trying to get the color changer to work.
I don't think it is a problem with the theme itself. The Theme Developer also does not think it is a problem with the coding of the theme. I don't think it is a problem with my computer.
Some color changes are accepted and others are not.
It is not my choice of color that is keeping the color changer from working. It seems like it is a deeper problem, since it is often Headings that won't change color, staying at default gray.

You can use a light texture instead of color, it will make the site more attractive. By the way you can do this with the help of css, you don't need to use composer or any dashboard settings to accomplish that.
