changing the URL

hi,
please I am trying to Move my site fromhttp://tt.abc.edu/TA/ tohttp://tt.abc.edu
is this possible without many issues ??? I don't wanna start and mess everything before knowing if that possible or not.

Turn off Pretty URLs
Turn off all Caches
Clear the Cache

Once those things are done you should be able to move the site without issue.
