Code blocks in the Rich text editor

Hi all

I'm manually moving a website from 5.6 to 5.7 (newest release). In some Content Blocks I have code snippets which when inserting in the RichText editor in 5.7 get rid of all the newlines so the "pre" tag around it is not able to wrap the code. This is very annoying. Is there a way to tell the editor not to touch newlines?

Not an ideal solution but Mesuva have built an alternate content editor for 5.7 based on CKEditor that seems to work BUT it's not integrated completely into the c5 eco-system like the File Manager for inserting images or the Sitemap for inserting links to other pages. I have it installed in a test 5.7 install and it works well.
