Collaborative groups?

Stumbled across concrete5 and in assessing its ability to do various things, it's unclear if/how c5 supports the notion of collaborative groups (i.e., organic groups in Drupalspeak,http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/og)....

Is this something c5 supports, and if so, can someone point me in the right direction on how to achieve it?

it would be great if groups could live at
dashboard/settings/manage_attribute_types/ and the attribute type user exists. So a group could then have a project manager, etc assigned to it.
