@comcast.net address does not receive email containing link to C5 site.

I have been working on a site in Concrete5 with great success. My client decided that the website is getting to the point where she wanted to share it with a few people.

She sent an email with the link to the site out to a handful of people and many of them did not receive it. I troubleshot the problem with one of them who had a @comcast.net address and a @yahoo.com address. He could receive emails containing the website link at yahoo but not comcast. I tried a few other links to test this problem and they came through his comcast account.

The email does not appear in the spam folder either.

I have never heard of an email client being this picky. What is wrong with my clients domain?

Has anyone encountered this before?

If the email simply doesn't make it there at all (not in a spaham folder) then the domain might be on a blacklist. Do a Google search for "email blacklist" for some tools to check.

You might also take a look into Sender Policy Framework:

There are many reasons that email doesn't make it to a given destination, but these are a good place to start checking...
