Concrete 5 Email Sending issue to Google App

am sending email from "Concrete 5" to Google App email address, but its not working, i also set up the "SMTP" settings but getting this error..

The following error was found while trying to send the test email:
Connection refused


The SMTP SETTING I HAVE DONE IS ALL RIGHT.. THE SETTING I ALSO BELOW

Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com
Username: bilal.yousaf@ptpventures.co.uk
Password: Google Apps password
Encryption: SSL
Port: 465


Pleas help me why i am getting this issue...

Note : I want to send emails on "Google Apps" that is hosted on a domain name..

My guess from that fact it says 'connection refused', as opposed to some other error message, is that your server is blocking outgoing 465.

I tried to do this setup with Bluehost the other day, using the same settings as what you've described, but had the same issue. After a bit of googling I came to the conclusion that it's because Bluehost block these kinds of ports as they only want you to use their mail server. I couldn't get it working for Google or any other SMTP server.

So perhaps check with your host about blocked ports.

I am using Godaddy for this purpose.. so may be its because of some issue.. you have any idea how to unblock such ports..

did you set your Googlemail account to allow access?
If not, you need to log into your Google account, then go to the following URL (in the same browser) and click the continue button to allow access:
