Configure TinyMCE Not To Use Inline Styles?

Inserting an image with TinyMCE and floating it to the left inserts style="float: left;" into the HTML.

Yuck!

How can I configure it to insert something like class="float-left" instead?

The TinyMCE editor needs to be able to work regardless of what is in a site's style sheets. It was the best available editor but version 5.7 of concrete5 will be using the new Redactor editor. Although I am looking forward to the change, I'm sure it will still just insert inline styles.

I see your point. I guess I would just prefer it to output a class and then themes would need to define that class in their style sheets.

Bit of a late reply but I think you can do what you want with TinyMCE
