confused on linking navigation to page content
Permalink
hello
i am new here. i have gone thru the documentation but still confused on how about creating a page with contents and link them to the top navigation menu.
For example, i create a new page say 'Products' that sit alongside Home at the top navigation. But once i saved it and click 'Product' (www.mysite.com/product), the content points to Home's content.
I then create 'Service', and click it - the content displayed are also from 'Home'.
I create many new pages alongside Home that sits on the top navigation bar and clicking all of them shows content similar to Home!!
All i want is just to create Pages like wordpress's that sits automatically on your top navigation bar once you saved them, but i cant seem to get it right in C5.
I am very confused. Please help.

sorry for the impulsive post. i think i got something to share with all of you who faced the same problem - make sure u got ur .htaccess uploaded!!!
i just figure out awhile ago while im crackin my head on how to solve this. the problem roots down to the .htaccess thingy. upload them just like the instruction says in Sitewide Settings > Linking and that solves the problem.
apologies for the carelessness.

why don't you post the link to your site so we can visualize what you're talking about.
But you should know that when you create a new page it will be automatically filled with predefined content (a header image, navigation bar, a form, etc..) This is for your benefit so you know where to begin when editing the page. So go to your product page, click the 'edit this page' button in the top left corner and start making changes! You should have your site up and going in 2 hours.
