Confused, poorly trained chimp needs help with C5 site improvements ;)

Hi, I've got for those more experienced than I - that's everyone - a probably simple question, but to me, it's currently a challenge.
I have two options:
1) take this path and get the learning experience
2) use a good coder I've tracked down on fiverr and he can do it for $5
If I go option "1" here' my issue:
I have a number of pages on my site ie,
existing page 1
existing page 2
existing page 3 etc
I have built a number of new pages - currently NOT public ie,
new page 1
new page 2
new page 3 etc
So, how do I please, go about replacing the "existing" pages, with the new pages, so the existing URL's now show the new content? I hope I've explained it clear enough - is this like a URL redirect at my server, because I've done one of them before?
Any advice/tips appreciated - thank you.
Ps. OR, for $5 do I go option 2 ;)

Many thanks. I actually did something a little different and used a "Page Redirect" feature, it seems to have delivered the overall result I was after. Thank you again.
Allright! But look out for the mess you can create on long term. Keep it clean :)
Steps:
1) Go to the full sitemap
2) Drag "new page 1" to the new path (I assume just in the home path)
3) Choose to copy the page under the chosen path
4) Delete "existing page 1", but remember/copy the page name and path
4.1) OR you can also choose to change the name and path of "existing page 1". *Don't forget to delete the path name!
5) Change the name and path of "new page 1 - copy" to the name and path of the original "existing page 1"
6) Change the permission of the new page to public
7) You're done.
This is if you want to let the "new page 1" in existence. Otherwise you can skip step 1, 2 & 3.
