Copying Home (index) Page to another ie. About

Hey Ive been looking through the forums/community here and i haven't found anything to help me out.

I have designed a new theme in photoshop, converted it to HTML and brought it over to work in C5, I then completed the home/default page with everything i needed in all the blocks.

My issue is that i have now clicked the add page button and everything is how it was when i first installed the theme... I would like to know if there is a way i can copy this over to my About page so that i can simply change a few pieces of content and be completed with that page quickly and less painfully?

Thanks.

Unfortunately there is no way to copy everything in one fell swoop. You can copy the blocks individually to your scrapbook and then paste them one by one into the other page.

A better approach in the future is to set up these blocks using the "Page Defaults" feature (see documentation for more details) -- this lets you place blocks on a page type and those blocks will automatically show up on any new pages you create of that page type. But unfortunately it won't save you any effort right now (but it will in the future for all other pages you add).

Can you just use the Move option and then choose Copy instead of Move or Alias.

Oh wow, you're totally right -- that didn't even cross my mind. I think I was assuming he already had the other page with some content and didn't want to overwrite that (just wanted the sidebar or something).
Page Defaults is best if you remember to do it before you build out pages, but yeah copying the pages after they've been made is totally viable.

Can't seem to copy the index page though. Only the children pages below it.
