Create Event not on Edit Bar for Calendar-Nav

Though I have entered this question in the Calendar Nav forum, I thought that my problem may be due to a global permissions.
I am not the site Administrator, however I am a member of the Administrator Group. The "Create Event" button does not appear on the Edit/Dashboard bar, so I cannot add Events. The button does appear for another Administrator.
Under Permissions, the Administrator is checked for "Who can edit this page?". To test, I tried adding Guest to "Who can edit this page?", however the button does not appear.
Suggestions welcomed.
