custom designs get lost

Hi there, I am using the free Avant Guard theme on this site here:http://www.bar-13.at
and I got some designs that I saved as presets, like brown backgrounds, black borders, rounded corners, css gradients, hidden overflow on some non responsive blocks etc.
Quite often when I add a new block, say an image and then change the design of this block, say I center it for instance, all the rest of the page, all the other blocks lose their saved designs.
What could be the reason for that?
It is very annoying and takes a lot of time to then add the designs back to every single block. I don't understand what's happening there and how to avoid that. maybe someone can explain, would be very helpful!
