Dashboard Error

Hello,
I'm receiving a weird error whenever I try to access the dashboard of an active site. The site itself is running ok...but the dashboard is displaying:
Site Activity
Fatal error: Call to a member function getUserID() on a non-object in /var/www/html/updates/concrete5.4.1.1/concrete/models/user_statistics.php on line 39
Has anyone else received this type of error or may know how to fix it? Does it have to do with the chart on the dashboard causing an issue (seems like i've read about this somewhere)?
If anybody can help...I would really appreciate it.
