Dashboard user access permission

I am struggling to setup a user permission for specific features in the dashboard. I created an Editors user group and assigned members into it. I need to limit the permission to this group so that the the editors should only have access to Sitemap, File Manager and Reports in the Dashboard. All other features in the dashboard should not be available to this group.

This is what I did so far without success:
Enabled advanced permission
Under Sitemap, I enabled Show System Pages and assigned Read permission to Editors group for Dashboard, Sitemap, File Manager and Report pages. I disabled Editors group in all pages but editors still have access to the remaining dashboard features.

Is this a known problem or I am doing something wrong here...

nope that sounds right...

are these users in ANY groups that would give them access here? Permissions are inclusive not exclusive in concrete5 - so just because I'm in the editors group and it doesn't have access is meaningless if I'm also in another group that does..

If that isn't it, try refreshing your site's cache if that's turned on in Sitewide Settings

frz,

These users are only in editors group and I assigned the access right appropriately. I did refresh cache and cleared cache as well. No luck.

Also, I tried in c5hosting demo, but the advanced permission is not enabled there...

It turns out that the advanced permissions as discussed above were the case in php 5.3. On my live server which is running php 5.2.x, it is working.

Advanced Permissions were the case or the solution?

So are you saying the Advanced permissions don't work when running PHP 5.3? That is what I am running.
