Date Navigation Not Working

Does anyone know why date navigation in my blog didn't show anything ? The blog has 2 blog entry children and the date navigation setting already set as the sample content.

Go into edit mode on a page that the date nav isn't working on. Click on the date nav block and choose "Edit". What settings does it have there?
And what is the path of this page (that is everything in the URL after the domain name)?

I'm having the same problem (in 5.4.2.1). I've checked the settings and everything is as it should be, but the date nav doesn't render (either on a parent News page, or on sibling pages (news articles).

EDIT: silly me, i had Exclude From Nav checked. Now to make it show in the Date Nav but not Autonavs...
