default theme doesn't work with safari

hello,

im running c5 with the default theme. My friend told me that he couldn't navigate through the pages by using Safari.
Because of that I installed Safari too to see the problem on my own. With Safari I got the same problem. With IE and Firefox everything works allright.

Stylesheet Problem?!

I too have tried using safari with latest version of Super fish. Top level navigation works fine, but you can't see or use any of the drop-down menu sections - they are just not available. I have tried this now on four different PC's using safari and all exhibit the same issue. Top level menu items are all that seem to work.

Maybe something in safari that needs changing? But whatever the reason, its is definitely an issue I have seen too.

OK, I have just checked and self same issue occurs with Chrome and Firefox. IE no dropdowns are available.

Intersstingly the only thing I can think is that we have a number of sites on our server that require us to force them to emulate IE7 and there is code in place in the root htaccess file to ensure this happens. Maybe this is whats causing the problem? Who knows, but the dropdowns only work in Internet Explorer and no on firefox, chrome or safari - again I have had this checked by a number of colleagues on their PC's - all get the same results.

I am using 5.4.1 and latest version of superfish.

OK, for the record, I tried removing IE7 emulation from the servers htaccess file and it made no difference at all -

Take a look atwww.www.newmarketmedicalpractice.co.uk... and you may see what I mean. This uses the 'simple blue' theme - maybe its a theme issue, but from what I read above its not theme related??
