I hope someone out in concrete land can help me. I have put together a small site for my swimming clubwww.www.rydeaussimasters.org.au... its nothing spectacular as i am not skilled in programming or coding. My dilemma is how do i best handle the annual renewal of our members (users). I import the users in bulk (from our main swimming organisation database) using the 'advanced user user import add-in' by moortown76. Not talking many uses only about 100. The beginning of the year is renewal time so about 60 will renew, there will be some new ones and the others will go on their merry way. There is a couple that would stay like life members. My first thought wasdelete all our users and import the new list. Moortown76 has in his info that bulk delete/update of users was to be added to the his add in but i had not had a response to a message sent to him about it in october. So i have no way to bulk delete at present. I dont think there would be any orphaned data if users are deleted. Maybe only if they had added a comment in the site somewhere??
I gather i can't automatically deactivate all the users, say after a certain date, since i wont be able to user the email address for the returning users that would be in the new import file. Since there isnt thousands i could delete individually and then do the bulk import as previously done. But as you would imagine much easier to bulk delete as well.
So anyone have any ideas how to most easily handle this??
