Disapearing content blocks - where do they go ?

Example:
I add a content block to my home page - say for an intro to the website.
a little later I change themes to see how it will look and what i notice is that my content block will disappear.

I do realize that not all themes use the same block names(?) but is there any way of finding all the content blocks that I have made ?

Is there a theme that could list them all or something in the dashboard that I am overlooking ?

Thank you for you help in advance.

Hi,
Its more likely the blocks you created are on a particular page area (main, sidebar, footer, header content, etc) that is not duplicated on your new theme (or theme page).
Find a common named area in both themes (Main for instance). With your original theme activated, drag all blogs to the common area, switch themes and all blocks should be visible. Just drag them to the desired areas in your new theme's page layout.
** you'll notice this often happens even without changing themes... if you change a right sidebar page to a Full page the sidebar content often disappears.

Hope this helps you out

That's what I was thinking that was going on too. I just couldn't think of the idea on how to find them (afraid of the content I want to keep going poof I suppose).
Thanks for the help. I will try this out :)
