Dotted outline in edit mode

I've found that where I have content that exactly fits the width of a content area e.g. a pair of images - The dotted line in edit mode causes the content to wrap.
I'm thinking of trying out a change in the Concrete5 CSS so that for non-IE browsers it uses 'outline' rather than 'border' to highlight the block, this should hopefully result in no change to the element dimensions when switching to edit mode.
