Drafts not visable to any other users.

Hi,

I'm trying to set up an approval system with C5 where our webmasters create content in composer then the admins come along and approve content that is ready. But drafts are only visable to the owner of said draft. I've tried changing permissions but randomly adding permissions hasn't resolved it. Is this a bug in C5? Or have I over looked something?

Thanks
Russ

Looks like I've needed to hack the code to accomplish this. Now anyone with "Write" access to the "Drafts" system page can view all the drafts by any user. I'm not sure if I should create a bug and try to submit the code as it's more for my needs and not everyones needs.

Hi Russ,

I'm looking for the same functionality but can't find a solution. Would you mind posting a little bit more information on what you did to enable this to work please to point me in the right direction?

Thanks very much,
Ali

Isn't draft meant to be used as drafts? You can set up a basic workflow instead to be able to have a group or user approve before content gets published?

My problem lies in the composer. I want editors of a certain group to be able to edit and publish posts via Composer. If I give only limited administrative rights to the group then none of the members would be able to approve / publish a post.

What I want instead is that drafts are saved in a certain list that is accessible by other editors in the same group to read drafts for review before they go online.

Did you manage to work this out? I'm finding that I can't apply any permissions to Composer pages -- users who shouldn't be able to approve pages are able to do it through the composer regardless of what permissions are set.

There seems to be a bug regarding composer permissions. See:http://www.concrete5.org/index.php?cID=292091...

I've added my confirmation to the bug and copied it over to the latest version (5.6.0.2)
