eCommerce and Images

I'm a little confused about images and how they are handled through eCommerce.

In order to have a thumbnail image, an image that can be clicked on to enlarge, an image in the callout box, do I have to upload THREE separate sizes of the same image? Or is there some functionality I'm missing that allows me to choose the size of each image, dependent upon its function, when I add the image(s) to my product listing?

If you go to my website,http://newsite.bikepartjewelry.com... and click on purse decorations, there's a sample product I've uploaded to play with. I can't get a big image...(at the time of this writing...maybe I'll figure it out yet!).

Thanks!
J

Hi,

After you have added a product, click on its name and you are presented with 4 options. If you click the 'images' tab you can selected the 'Thumbnail Image', 'Alternate Thumbnail' and the 'Full Image'.

When you choose to add a 'product' or 'product list' block in the front end of your website you will find various options for displaying thumbnails, callout etc

does this help?

Hi,
Did you find a solution for your problem? I have a similar problem with a web-shop i´m building. The web-shop owner is very non tech, and it doesn't make sense to her having to upload the same picture several times. And the way it looks like now, she will even have to figure out how to scale the picture into several sizes.
